Downsized and out in Bristol and Somerset
Finally got ticked off with waiting and emailed the first interview people to ask them what the hell was going on (although obviously I phrased it more arslikhan-like, but that was the jist). Apparently the publisher is off sick and no one can make a decision without him. Which I guess is fair enough, although surely the man's got a damn phone? Tsk.

Once upon a time, there was a beautiful princess who lived in London and had a well-paid job in journalism. She loved to smoke cigarettes, eat cake and drink white wine. She had a lovely cat, a handsome prince, lots of nice friends and some great handbags. You can read all about that here.
But despite being gorgeous, talented and rich, the princess wasn't happy. She and the prince dreamed of a better life, with less commuting and more time to do yoga. So, one day in April 2004, they packed in their jobs and decided to go and live in a small house with a big vegetable patch in the West Country.
The princess is now living alone* in Bristol in a small flat with a vegetable patch. Still got the cat; still got the handbags; still trying to quit smoking.
*That must be what they call 'downsizing'.
